This sketch of an old man with a cigarette, gave me the opportunity to dive deeper within the realm of realism. I dreaded making the beard but on the other hand, I believe drawing the eyes is my forte. The man with his cigarette is a symbolizing reflection or a momentary pause in life. His gaze away from the viewer diverts us to the weight of his experiences, memories, and the passage of time.
