I have formed this piece to represents the duality within oneself—the conflict between emotions, thoughts, or identities that coexist within an individual. The juxtaposition of the eyes facing one direction and the mouth facing another signifies a divergence in perception and expression. It symbolizes the complexity of human nature—where inner thoughts or desires might differ from outward expressions or communication—and emphasizes the intricate nature of the human psyche. This sketch is meant to challenge the orthodox view of human identity and the fact that it doesn’t come in packages of whole but in discrete layers. In multifaceted aspects of an individual's inner world, it prompts reflection on the complexities of human emotions, the contradictions within oneself, and the constant interplay between different facets of personality.
